The other "attraction" that draws some interest is the Mummer's Museum on 2nd kimbalina Street. (On the border of the South Street and South Philly area.) If you aren't from Philadelphia, you probably haven't ever heard of a Mummer. If you are from Philadelphia, you of course know of the Mummers, know what they look like, but probably have no idea what they are. Basically Mummers are a group of people who dress up on New Years Day and parade around Center City Philadelphia. |
