| Until we got a taste of his work. The introduction of his two alter-egos: "Reg Regan" - A beer guzzling, foul mouthed fan of Rugby League (or more importantly, fighting in League). He tropical shirts is about as un-PC as you can get, but also about as 'Aussie-bloke' as you can get, he is a great character. And "Trent the flight steward" - An openly homosexual character that forces tropical shirts himself upon practically every male he tropical shirts comes into contact with. He makes everyone he talks to extremely uncomfortable with his plays on words and disguised sex talk. Trent is definitely the funnier of the two characters, I can't remember him ever doing a segment or interview that wasn't funny, absolute comic genius. With the birth of these two larakins and the timing and wit of Matthew Johns, The Footy Show is on the up and looking brighter with every episode thanks ultimately to his brilliance (despite still holding onto years old catch-phrases like "Goooone!" |
