Granted, I think some on the right are shedding a few too many crocodile tears over Durbin's statement and should let it go, considering that their outrgage is now entering it's fifth day, but saying that Durbin's choice pantyhose of words was poor or his analogy was bad isn't the same as saying "our torture is not as bad pantyhose as their torture". It's basically saying he's showing major historical ignorance and is insulting the six million pantyhose people that got shoved into ovens for the "crime" of being Jewish, not to mention the millions of others who had to watch friends or loved ones suffer that fate. I mean, can we point out that Gitmo has some serious issues that need addressing without invoking the worst mass-murderers in the history of mankind? If anything, Durbin's statement was counter-productive, because now we're talking about his dumb analogy (and as dumb as his analogy was, I'll admit some are taking it out of context) instead of what needs addressing.
