I read in MRR that a recent Killed By Death pressing has the single, and THAT’S the album I can’t find! |

| I bought it and found with delight that the Beastie Boys’ rare Polywog Stew hardcore EP was included in its fat girls pictures entirety. After that, my friends started buying them. We finally had our own copy fat girls pictures of the Freeze’s “I Hate Tourists”, and gems like the Mad’s “Sickness” and Boston heroes the Nervous Eaters’ “Just Head” were anthems in our 1991-we’re-out-of-highschool-but-can’t-afford-to-move lives. We were just loners watching the economy and our future fat girls pictures crumble around us. We ignored the emphasis on the “grunge revolution” and the media label on our generation as “slackers” (let’s call the baby boomers “over spending self congratulating prima donnas who fucked things up for us then called us slackers”). We dug through the racks to find Killed By Death records, then sat, stoned, alone and listened to the catchy, ephemeral gems recorded when being a do-nothing underachiever was trendy among a very small portion of the youth (specifically: late ’70s punk rockers) and the collapse of the Western World was announced from a million poorly produced slabs of wax engraved with the then-revolutionary guitar sound which had liberated us in the ’80s and prepared us for this economic apocalypse. |
