He was a Betta, anger and Betta's need to get air from the surface in order to survive. I knew he was dying when he was anger not able to get to the surface of the bowl, I built him a little surface hammock so he would not drown. He seemed happy to lie on the hammock in the surface, and he did not anger struggle when I scooped him up in it and positioned it right. A few hours later, I checked on him again. He was gone. I found him lying belly up at the bottom on the bowl. I scooped him up and spread his brilliantly colored fins in my hand. All the purple was gone from his fins, only the bright blue was left of his gorgeous colors. Buddy was my little flutter bug. Whenever I talked to him, he would swim up to the side of the tank as if he could hear me. He has been sick for a long time. |
